I spent 20+ years in public service before I realized something important: I had optimized my entire career for the wrong scorecard. I was successful by every traditional measure — leadership roles, fancy job title, respected by peers, making good money. But I was also exhausted, disconnected, and wondering if this was really it. The turning point came when I wound up in the hospital. It was clear that my strategy wasn't working. I needed to figure out what thriving in my work actually looked like — not for someone else, but for me. The forced stop to ask that question changed everything. Now I help leaders navigate the same transition. I work with successful professionals who've reached a crossroads: they've achieved what they thought they wanted, but something feels off.
