About Tim Paylor

As an investment analyst at Harpswell, my areas of focus are performance analysis and the monitoring of portfolio positioning in accordance with the client's investment policies. I am responsible for generating comprehensive, transparent reporting for endowment investment committees, and I complete thorough asset-allocation studies highlighting the sustainability of endowments under a variety of assumptions and scenarios regarding distributions and portfolio composition. I also write and review investment policy statements, and I continually work to enhance and streamline Harpswell’s portfolio maintenance and reporting, while contributing to the analysis and monitoring of outside managers. I began my career in the United States Air Force as an Arabic Language Analyst after graduating from the Defense Language Institute at the Presidio of Monterey in California. As an Airman, I provided translations and analysis to various customers in the intelligence community, and I left the Air Force in 2011 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. I received a BS in Economics from the University of Maine, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and have earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. I enjoy the Maine outdoors, especially camping and hiking on the Appalachian Trail. I live in Falmouth with my wife, Mia, and our son, Guy.
