During my AmeriCorps year at 826 Boston I grew my skills in recruiting, public speaking, and leading and developing volunteer trainings. This year also allowed me to learn about the Boston Public School system, and the different needs of young, and adult learners. During my four years at Skidmore College, I cultivated knowledge in educational theories and practices. During student teaching I developed my skills in education at local elementary schools. In addition, I was a member of the men's lacrosse team on campus. Being a part of Skidmore Athletics I have been able to develop my leadership skills and work ethic. These experiences have led me to be a strong, adaptable collaborator and leader.
