About Tim Rapp

With over 18 years of experience in coaching and development, I am passionate about empowering and inspiring athletes to achieve their full potential. As the Director of Coaching Development at Newington College, I oversee the coaching curriculum, mentorship, and professional development of more than 200 coaches across various sports. I also lead the strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of the sports program, ensuring alignment with the school's vision, values, and goals. Prior to joining Newington College, I was the General Manager of rugby at NSW Waratahs Rugby, where I managed the operations, finances, and stakeholder relations of the NSW Waratahs professional rugby team. I also served as the Head Coach of the NSW Under 20 and Elite Pathways Coordinator as well as the Australian Under 20 Assistant Coach, developing and delivering the high-performance pathway for emerging rugby players in NSW. I have a strong background in sports coaching, fitness, and sports, with a Bachelor of Physical Education and Health from ACPE and a Certificate IV TAA from UNE. I am committed to fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration in sports education, operations and development.
