YMCMB When your idea becomes a reality, you really gotta work. I mean really work! I've put in over 100 hours a week for some time. I can’t stop thinking about my vision and what it is going to take to bring it into the world. Most every day when I wake up I am excited to go to work. The days I don't have that passion are the days that I know I have to tend to some things I don't like doing. I've been spending a fair amount of time looking at those things I don't like doing as well as my weaknesses. If there is anything that has hindered our growth it is the not taking action on these two topics. My "I'll just work harder" is and has been getting in the way for some time now. I'm closer every day to taking the necessary steps to get the help that I, my team and our projects need. One of my favorite quotes comes from Tony Hsieh, the CEO of Zappos, “Chase the vision, not the money, the money will end up following you.” Of course, there is a value in market studies and examining the potential profitability of any project, but it can’t be the fuel. Your engine will run dry long before you cross the finish line. Numbers and studies can help guide your project, but they can’t make anyone else care about your vision. You have to build the world you want to live in, and find others who want to build that world with you. Find a need, apply skill sets, add hustle. change the world.
