About Tim Schaub

Hand, plastic, and reconstructive microsurgeon with extensive leadership training and experience. Has developed multiple programs including a denovo plastic surgery division, hand and microsurgery program, and a comprehensive complex wound program. Consistently works to create strong relationships and buy-in between and within teams in an effort to provide the best care possible for our patients. Seen as a servant leader and dependable collaborator on challenging patient issues. Broad experience in pediatric microsurgical reconstruction of soft tissue and bony defects of the upper and lower limb and vascular repairs of infants and children. Research and clinical interests are focused on congenital and pediatric limb disorders, pediatric microsurgery and pediatric vascular surgery. Has lectured and presented research outcomes on these topics at regional and national meetings with associated publications in review and in print. Co-director of the Phoenix Chlildren's multidisciplinary arthrogryposis program. Mentors and educates medical students, residents, and fellows through academic affiliations with Mayo Clinic Scottsdale, the University of Arizona, and Creighton University. Associate professor with Creighton Medical School and University of Arizona Medical School. Current board certification in general surgery, plastic surgery, and CAQ in hand surgery. Board examiner for American Board of Plastic Surgery. Currently enrolled in the executive MBA program at ASU with focus on health care for further education in leadership and administration in medicine.
