Port development professional with a strong technical and project management background driven by teamwork and project success. Demonstrating people skills, analytical and commercial mindset. • Enthusiastic about creating solution for complex projects related to ports, coastal developments, mega projects, energy transition and working in an international context. • I aim to learn more and improve myself and others. Besides my Civil Engineering degree I also have a master’s degree in Business Administration from Rotterdam School of Management (a top ranking business school), with a focus on strategy, operational excellence, and leadership. Completed all my studies with high honours (‘cum laude’). • Throughout my career I have been responsible for many interesting and large port- and maritime projects where I have managed multidisciplinary teams and collaborated in a multi-cultural environment. • Leading roles with a proven delivery track-record in project execution with overall responsible for the business case of the project, including commercial aspects, financing, and technical development. • My experience covers the entire project lifecycle, from early feasibility and planning up to negotiating tenant lease agreements, design, tendering, construction, and asset management. • Comprehensive understanding of port management and the associated commercial environment. I engage with tenants, new investors, and stakeholders to find the best solutions for their needs and requirements, gain trust and establish a good working relationship with all parties involved. • Experienced with coastal and maritime design: breakwaters, shore protection, dredging/reclamation, jetties, quay walls, numerical modelling studies dealing with wave climate, cyclones, hydrodynamics and environmental studies.
