About Tim Sheahan

I am a fully qualified accountant with considerable experience in both industry and in practice. I am currently working in the Renewable Energy sector as a Principal - Investments and Project Finance for an international Renewable Energy Company in the Middle East. In August 2021, Alcazar Energy completed the sale and successful exit of its portfolio of 7 assets (411 MW) to China Three Gorges led consortium (one of the largest energy companies on earth) which was the largest privately owned project portfolio of renewable energy assets in the MENA region. Alcazar Energy, in November 2022, has now launched AEP-II Fund with the intention of bringing several GW of renewable energy to operation in the coming years across a number of jurisdictions in MENA, Europe and Asia. I previously worked in the Renewable Energy sector in Ireland with Element Power. The company was the most active developer in Ireland prior to its sale to Norwegian energy giant Statkraft in late 2018. Prior to this I worked in practice with one of the largest accounting practices in Cork City where I gained invaluable experience in accounts preparation for a number of both large and SME clients throughout the county and the province. I also have experience in fund accounting having worked for the Bank of New York Mellon for over 2 years prior to finishing college. I worked mostly with Derivatives during my time with the company such as Futures, CFD's and Options. Colleagues know me as a hard-working and extremely knowledgable finance professional, with a key role throughout the organization, not only in finance, but across legal, investment and project functions of the business. I have a willingness to constantly improve and learn whilst showing an abiding desire to progress in my career. I studied accounting in Cork Institute of Technology before going on to complete my chartered accounting exams with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants with who I am now a fellowship member.
