About Tim Shelburne

I like to do everything. I'm a musician, a climber, a traveler, a rower, a problem-solver, a developer, a student, a teacher, a gamer, a thinker, a tinkerer, a dancer, an opera singer, and an animal person. I've built my own bass guitar from wood on my grandfather's farm, I've lived in three different countries, I've rowed a marathon, I've translated directly from Chinese into Russian in an airport under pressure, and I've rolled my own cigars. I've toured as a musician from El Paso to Boston, and as a warrior from Ironforge to Zangarmarsh. I believe that all good things come from hard work, but that passion is all you need to yield extraordinary results. I work in software because it is one of the few fields left where having skill and a great idea can take you as far as you're willing to work. Universal and organic, it exists as a pure opportunity for those willing to chase it, and any good solution to a common problem can become the next biggest thing. It doesn't require a lot of capital or an existing audience to be truly influential; determination and a unique idea can change the world.
