About Tim Simpson

I am experienced senior business change manager with diverse business and industry experiences. After 7 years studying Engineering including postgraduate research in hydrodynamics, I finally started my career in Data Systems in British Airways. I had 10 great years there in London and Sydney in a variety of project and business roles. After moving to Dublin in January I have had a range of roles working in the major financial institutions. My first role was in first-e as Head of Digital Channels, moving to Irish Life on a contract to deliver an automated underwriting application in partnership with IBM. I have since had a number of senior manager roles starting with 5 years in EBS in Customer Value Management, 3 years running a Regulatory Compliance Programme (3MLD) for Bank of Ireland, followed by a 2 year spell in BPO with Capita Life & Pensions Ireland as Change Director. I moved to AIB in 2013 to join the newly formed Chief Data Office as Head of Data Management and Governance, and also ran the Data Quality and Remediation function for a year. I ran the Data function for the unit responsible for Portfolio Loans Sales of Non Performing Exposures (NPEs) where we have successfully delivered 12 significant loan transactions in the last 7 years, all underpinned by high quality, market standard datatapes. I then moved into a business strategy and operating model role in the FSG Retail Collections area. I am currently working in AIB Capital Markets on a Credit Data Transformation Programme across data taxonomy and credit process automation. It is good to be busy!
