As a partner and head of Winckworth Sherwood’s Private Client team, I regularly advise on trusts, estates and succession planning (including the many tax issues that arise with the same, along with the problems presented by the loss of mental capacity). With a diverse client base including individuals, trustees, beneficiaries and executors, my clients are both UK-based and those with connections abroad. I have particular expertise in setting up philanthropic and charitable structures. Away from law, I have a Masters in Engineering and spend a lot of my time at weekends trying to restore a 17th Century watermill in Lincolnshire.
