I am a writer, editor and consultant with more than 15 years of experience helping job seekers make impactful, memorable presentations to employers and recruiters. I do this by crafting “bridges of connection” with resumes, LinkedIn profiles and other documents that emphasize value and relevance between candidates’ experiences and skills and employers’ needs. My background includes extensive experience helping clients - including mid-career professionals to senior level and post-retirement individuals - pursue new directions such as opportunities in new industries and employment sectors. Regardless of the particular challenge, I bring a laser focus to identifying, reorganizing and refining points of value, to the degree necessary, that are sometimes overlooked or buried in a client’s professional history - so that each one can better stand out. My clients include executives (directors to CEOs), managers, professionals and various technical specialists. Over the years I have been credited by clients with playing an instrumental role in helping them secure interview requests and job offers (I do not take credit for their successes but am simply grateful to have been a part of each one’s journey for a short time). My client service approach is simple: I treat people the way that I would like to be treated. which means taking the time to give clients the attention and care that they deserve as individuals with genuinely unique skills and experiences. More broadly, I bring to my work a diverse range of experiences in career services, business communications and publishing. I currently provide assistance with needs that include helping individuals with advancement opportunities, workforce re-entry, and career changes both within and across industries and employment sectors, as well as with making transitions into independent consulting. In general, my driving motivation is helping clients pinpoint, differentiate and elevate their strengths and experiences, or their vision and voice, so they can better engage with hiring professionals or other audiences. Finally, I am an experienced presenter of workshops on resume development and interview preparation, and I have been invited on multiple occasions to serve as a guest resume reviewer at job fairs and other career events. I am also a past Hermes Gold Award Winner for Marketing Communications.
