About Tim Stolte

In 2023 I completed my Masters Degree at the Academy in Antwerp, following my Bachelor's degree the previous year. Prior to attending the Academy, I spent three years at a technical fashion school in Hamburg. There, I engaged in full days of cutting and stitching classes, which enabled me to create all the pieces for my collections by myself. Additionally, I had the opportunity to learn industry-standard Adobe software, create technical drawings, prepare tech-sheets, etc. As part of this course, I completed a six-month internship at a small label in Berlin that showcases its collections in Paris. Working within a small team during this internship granted me substantial responsibilities across various domains, including production organization, communication with pattern makers and sewers during the sampling process, and creating technical drawings for the entire collection. After taking a leap of faith and applying to the Academy in Antwerp, where I was accepted, I decided to leave the aforementioned program in Germany and relocate to Antwerp. The skills I acquired during my prior education allowed me to place a greater emphasis on my creative work, particularly under the guidance of Walter and, subsequently, Dirk last year. I have learned a great deal, broadened my horizons, and explored new creative realms, all while keeping in mind the core values that matter most to me: achieving the perfect balance between wearability, creativity, and technique. I have had the pleasure to work as as design assistant at LV and now as a junior womenswear designer at LaCoste.
