About Tim Stone

I've been in the IT industry for over 30 years. I've lived through every wave of technology from IBM370 to the PC to Client/Server to Distributed Architectures. You name it, I've probably done it, or been involved in it somehow. Right now, I direct a division with enterprise application and infrastructure responsibilities. My goals are to remain relevant. I'm always looking for the next big thing to learn. My experience gives me the foundation for deeply understanding new technologies, and utilizing them in ways that blend established techniques and concepts with emerging ones. My insights into how new technology can be used in concert with the world they were born into are where I can bring great value to organizations that are flush with the newest tools and technologies, but still want to deeply leverage the investment in their existing infrastructure and systems. Specialties: Large software system engineering, design, and integration using web technologies, modern middleware infrastructure, and traditional legacy technologies, Rich Internet Applications, open source implementations, collaboration. You name the language, I probably know it. You name the tool, I've probably used it. If not, I know someone who does.
