About Tim Thivierge

I am a Computer Engineering & Embedded Systems professional experienced working and leading in the automotive infotainment industry. I have been working as the Bluetooth Low Energy Technology Lead, and Software Lead for the Bluetooth Low Energy Module and the Bluetooth Ultra-wide band Near field Communication module, at the heart of the Phone As A Key System that is now Vehicle Access Platform. As the first EESE representative dedicated to the BLEM and PaaK, I worked to create all the initial specifications, and feature definition(s) with the R&A team until the rest of the team(s) were in place. I worked to help define all interfaces between the vehicle and cloud, and the phone to vehicle (both cellular and BLE data) and to help set up the Agile process in the BLE core group. Now leading and mentioning the group as a subject matter expert in BLE and all matters of software. Personal strengths include a passion for technology and infotainment, helping team members grow in the technology space, high level of technical skill, a desire to learn the latest technology advancements, systematic approach to problem solving, communication skills, initiative and proactive, team leader. My primary focus is to further explore the technology and industry that has emerged over the years and I aspire to be a part of such innovative team(s) that creates these new solutions.
