Background
About Tim Tribe
I understand the challenges faced by growing non-profits from bootstrapped start-ups to large organizations. No matter the size or years in business, the challenges, especially fundraising/philanthropy, brand awareness, program development, and partnership cultivation, are the same just scaled differently. Having a leader with expertise to grow funding is key to success. My passion lies in ensuring improved efficiency and productivity of an organization. I have honed the ability to translate my expertise and team leadership into innovative techniques to increase your organizations funding and initiatives. My expertise lies in fundraising, program restructuring, external relationship development, operational improvements, strategy development, and partnership cultivation. I can innovate and optimize current processes, systems, and formats through the introduction of continuous improvements, as well as building strategic alliances with organizational leaders to ensure alignment with/support initiatives. I have been recognized for successful leadership of operations, building of high-performance teams, and the ability to formulate vision and requirements to ensure all parties understood the direction being taken. Some significant career achievements include: • Philanthropy & Campaigns / Fundraising & Partnerships / Innovation in Fundraising: Led a team of seven that secured $150M+ to support Conestoga’s $130M capital campaign in 5 years. Leadership in restructuring Advancement programs to support their transition into principal/major gift operations. • Fundraising Infrastructure Development / Strategic Risk Taking: Expanded fundraising reach through the creation of direct response (direct mail/digital) campaigns including the implementation of the FundraiseUP platform, a new email platform called Feathr, and introduced a pop-up and home page takeover of the foundation website during the end of year campaign to direct donors to donation pages. • Growth & Change Management: Restructured the Development and Alumni program to support the transition to a major gift program and increase commitment, transparency and accountability to the academic units while completing the University of Northern British Columbia’s rst comprehensive campaign and rebuilding the alumni program. The initial goal was $10M and the campaign raised $24.6M. • Hospital & Community Partnership: Gained commitment of federal, provincial and regional elected ofcials leading to $100M+ in government support for the expansion of Conestoga College.
