Professional career includes 28 years of experience as a technician, team leader, people manager, and an entrepreneur. Creative problem solving skills, in business development and individual projects, were developed. Working career was launched in the U.S. Army as a Helicopter Mechanic and Crew Chief; during off-work hours, a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe & Powerplant License (A&P) was earned. After the aviation industry went into recession, the majority of working career has been 18 years as a painting business owner/operator. In December 2010, a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management was completed; this was concurrent with working as an Assistant Project Manager- Works well with a wide variety of people: Headed volunteer programs, built rapport with trade supervisors and their subordinates, and tactfully handled collections of late payments- Strong technical background: Worked extensively as an aircraft technician – hrs on military helicopters- Highly conscientious: Actively works to produce quality product at higher standards than expected; client testimonials referred to service and work quality as “excellent” and “conscientious”- Excellent writing skills: Top grades in all college level writing classes, especially technical writing- Dependable: Completed many contract jobs in business.
