About Tim Way

I’m a global banking and digital assets leader with 15+ years of experience driving transformation across banking. Today, I help banks commercialise stablecoin, tokenisation and treasury opportunities — enabling faster, cheaper, and safer value transfer. My career spans London, Hong Kong, and Singapore, leading large-scale digital and technology programs at UBS across Wealth Management, Investment Banking, Asset Management, Operations, Core Banking and Digital Assets. I’ve delivered multi-million-dollar programs across Asia and launched new digital products. At Fireblocks, I now lead the banking initiatives globally — partnering with banks from incumbents to challengers, to implement digital money and asset infrastructure and partnerships that strengthen liquidity, automate treasury, and enhance capital efficiency. My focus: helping banks bridge traditional finance and digital assets through compliant, production-ready digital asset platforms. Based in Singapore, I combine first-hand experience of global banking environments with a perspective on where transaction banking, securities services and asset issuance is heading. I regularly speak at industry events, sharing insights from conversations with hundreds of banks on how digital money is reshaping cross-border economics.
