About Tim Wild

I have worked in the electrical engineering industry since leaving school in 1977 with now some 47 years experience. I spent 24 years working for the MOD in a research and development environment working on a varied selection of equipment from control and instrumentation systems through to LV power distribution within industrial plant and machinery. I have limited experience on HV power distribution. I took voluntary redundancy from this role in 2003 and joined Network Rail as a signalling conversion engineer. I successfully completed the programme and worked in signal engineering for several years. Following a re-organisation in 2011 I reverted back to power engineering joining Network Rails Wales and Western routes Infrastructure project team, based at Swindon, as an E&P project engineer. I have worked in this role since then. I have worked on a number of signalling based projects over the last 13 years with successful commissioning of a number of projects during Network Rail CP5 and CP6. Supporting the signalling DPE and project managers in overseeing the compliant design, installation and testing of both 650V and modular signalling power supply infrastructure. This has also included power supplies within control centres and PSB's and also level crossing lighting systems.
