About Tim Wills

Tim Wills is a Deputy Fire Marshal with Phoenix Fire Department. He has served with CFMD for over 34 years; as a Volunteer Firefighter, career Firefighter, Engineer, Fire Inspector, Fire Marshal, Captain and Battalion Chief. He serves as an adjunct faculty with Yavapai College-Fire Science for over 22 years teaching a variety of fire science courses. Intermixed in these years Chief Wills has also also served with Verde Rural (now Verde Valley) Fire District as a Firefighter & Engineer, Sedona Fire District as a Fire Inspector-Firefighter-Paramedic. Chief Wills is a lifelong learner. He completed his Fire Science Degree with Yavapai College, paramedic training with Maricopa Community and Yavapai Colleges, and completed several Fire Prevention and Executive Leadership courses at the National Fire Academy. He is currently pursuing an advanced degree in management. He is married with five adult children. As a family, they value the education they have received in the Verde Valley and have benefitted from post-secondary education at colleges, universities and vocational schools. He has actively served as a volunteer with the local Salvation Army, Boy Scouts of America, coached or officiated many sports teams and served on the Town Council.
