About Tim Woods

I have more than 30 years experience in forestry, wood and pulp and paper industries in a variety of research, market data, intelligence and information services, productivity related, advocacy, sustainable development, publishing and consulting roles. Each month I edit and publish Pulp & Paper Edge, the market intelligence and trade data service for the Australian and New Zealand pulp, paper, packaging and printed media markets. IndustryEdge also publishes other specialist paper product market reports. We deliver Wood Market Edge online - a powerful database and information platform with extensive data download capacity - supplying real trade data on the full range of Australian and New Zealand wood products and an increasing array of products in the APAC regions. I have held a wide range of public and representative positions, including previously as Chair of an Australian superannuation fund, the Board of a financial services company, as a union official and as Chair of several industry wide development bodies. I am currently Chair of the Foundation of Monash University's BioPRIA (the Bio-Processing Resources Institute of Australia) and Chair of the steering committe of the AFWI Centre for Climate Smart Forestry at University of Melbourne. I am proudly President of the Geelong Swimming Club and privileged to be involved with swimming leaders across our region, in particular. For exercise, I run and when time allows and it is fair on my family (not often!), I like to run off-road ultra marathons. Go figure.
