About Tim Yu

Timothy is a Senior Associate Principal with over 20 years’ experience working on a number of projects including commercial, mixed use, transportation, cultural and education schemes in the UK, Europe and Asia. His broad knowledge and expertise covers conceptual design, detail design, construction and site supervision. Since joining KPF in 1998, Tim has led the external envelope and steelwork design for The Pinnacle, a one million foot-squared office tower in the City of London. On this project, Tim used his expertise in Building Information Modelling coordination for the building’s complex façade geometry. Timothy’s most recent projects include 1 North Quay, 105 Victoria Street, Chapter Living London Bridge, Kerry Hangzhou Urban Star, Damac Tower, One Nine Elms, Ziraat Bank International Finance Centre, 25 Churchill Place for Canary Wharf Group plc and Unilever’s Corporate Headquarters, London, which has won a number of awards including AIA Honor and Sustainable Design Award, City Heritage Award, UK Commercial Property Award, BCO and MIPIM Refurbished Office Building. He has also worked on speculative office developments in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow, the National Theatre of Cyprus, Nicosia and the Imperial College Student Residences, London. Prior to joining KPF, Timothy worked for Aedas, Hong Kong, where he was involved in the award winning rail interchange Sunny Bay Station for the MTR Corporation, the Landmark renovation works in Central and Elements retail mall in Kowloon. At Leigh & Orange Architects in Hong Kong, he was involved with education and cultural schemes. Tim is fluent in English and Cantonese.
