About Timea Rich

My passion for market behavior analysis and business growth makes me eager to participate in endless marketing discussions. Growing up in Slovakia I gained a broad education and skills preparing me for my career. Showing artistic inclinations since childhood, I accumulated hobbies that helped me on my professional path. My brother, a professional graphic and website designer, taught me the basics of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator at the age of thirteen. Since then, by continuing to learn new skills in Adobe programs, I developed into quite the Photoshop pro. At around the same age, my peers and I discovered the world of blogging, which sparked endless "who's got the best blog" contests. To rise above my peers, the need to fully customize blog design arose, making me learn CSS and HTML. At the age of fifteen, I added writing and photography to my collection of activities. Fast forward a few more years and the time for big life decisions arrived–namely picking a college. After a period of studying opera, an ad by the marketing department at Constantine The Philosopher University, lit a fire in me. I felt it in my bones–I'm a marketer, I'm a business owner! Reflecting on this experience, while at times arduous, leaves me with gratitude for my college. Armed with a high-quality practical and theoretical knowledge of marketing and communications, the time arrived to begin my professional journey. At twenty-six, I moved permanently to the United States and continued working in the marketing sector at Anglers’ Bay Marina as a marketing campaign manager. Simultaneously, I started my side hustle, Lake Apparel New York. This provided an enormous opportunity to experiment with the US market, while learning the intricacies of the United State’s economy. Working on my own business unleashed my inner passion for organization. Realizing the chaotic nature of business, I began asking myself a variety of questions–amongst those, what if I gain so much business that I have to hire someone? how much time would I have to spend on training the person? To find answers, I researched copiously on the subject of scaling businesses and created management systems. By implementing these systems, I successfully reduced my side hustle into a very part-time job.
