About Timn Jacobs

As a painter and visual artist, I always strive to see beauty in natural settings and enjoy bringing that view to my work. After I graduated from the University of Minnesota with majors in Architecture and Environmental Design, I began my diverse career working at several spec commercial firms, culminating at BestBuy headquarters as a corporate architect, focusing primarily on retail; new and remodel development. I’ve always had a desire to see how my work turns out, wanting to witness the building process first-hand. So, after several years in architecture, I transferred to the project management division and built out over 300 stores as the leader of their construction department. I’ve been in construction and project management going on thirty-one years (but who’s counting?). Every day, I search for ways to stretch myself. New challenges motivate me to better my skills and learn new ones. As I gained perspective of the many facets of real estate project management, I discovered a passion for its pace and complexity, joining UnitedHealth Group as its VP of Development. I was responsible for site selection, design, and construction, eventually tasked by several organizations to manage multi-until projects and develop program management systems. My diverse professional experience has established a firm belief that there is a better way of building and executing construction programs. With this conviction in mind, I teamed up with Jon Theis in May 2019 to create Nimble. We are a service-oriented model for strategically scaling multi-site businesses. My role at Nimble is to build the methodology of “the only”– We don’t aim to be the best company in the game, but the only company capable of providing the value that we do. With Jon, I help create this value with custom services for our clients, as well as adapting and recreating ourselves with the changing world of construction. I always look for new methods, forging new paths to get from point A to point B. I have found that even when everything seems like a mess in the beginning, there is always an avenue to discover that will take us to success. Every day, I am excited to partner with companies that have visions as big as ours, enabling mutual growth and success.
