About Timo Bolte

I want to translate ideas into action and contribute to transformational health innovation. Driven by a passion for molecular biology and a background with more than three years as a research associate, I am looking forward to conduct pioneering research. I am a biotechnologist with a distinct interest in the medical application of biotechnological and pharmaceutical research. Accordingly, the topic of my bachelor thesis was the characterization of SNARE proteins in the malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum and their potential function in vesicle egress to identify their suitability as potential targets for malaria treatment. Due to my interest in this field, I continued to work for more than three years as a student research assistant in the lab, helping with various projects, practical courses, and general lab tasks. During my master's program, I continued to focus on red (medical) but also green (plant) biotechnology with a focus on molecular biology.
