About Timo Linna

Experienced Medical Science Liaison with a demonstrated history of working in the medical device industry. Skilled in Pharmaceutics, Vascular, Nursing Education, Medical Devices, and Critical Care Medicine. Strong research professional with a Registered Nurse degree from Helsinki university of applied sciences Stadia. I have worked in different roles as a intensive care nurse, product specialist, account manager and Medical Science Liaison. I started my career as a intensive care nurse working for two different general ICU’s in the Helsinki University Jorvi hospital and in Päijät-Häme central hospital in Lahti. As a product specialist/account manager in Gambro and Baxter I was responsible for the whole Finnish market in sales, product- and therapy education, purchasing, tenders and planning the launch and sales activities for the country. In my MSL role I have managed all medical activities in my therapy area in all five Nordic countries, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland. My responsibilities have covered key opinion leader management, data generation management (regional study projects), data dissemination, external therapy education for health care professionals on various topics, organizing and hosting different kind of medical events (advisory boards, congresses, meetings), managing therapy related and off-label enquiries from health care professionals and internal therapy education. In short to drive and implement all medical communication projects. As the Medical Science Liaison, I also worked as a member of the Nordic acute Therapies Leadership Team planning the future actions for the Nordic region (product launches, education, congresses, advisory boards, educational materials, budgets.). I’m used to work independently towards the jointly decided goals as a part of a multi-functional international team. I am fact oriented and capable of making quick decisions. I plan for my actions well in advance which makes it possible for me to be agile in my everyday work.
