About Timo Rantala

Professional in international b-b sales, industrial goods. I have been selling valves, industrial filters and concentrator/metallurgical plants in Europe, Turkey and CIS countries with either local offices or agents. Agent network building and running has been one of my tasks for many years. I can manage the before said tasks in Finnish, German, Swedish and English as I have lived in all of these countries and worked with each language. I can formulate and negotiate sales contracts with knowledge of “ must have” and “can give” terms and conditions. I am very familiar with Incoterms, L/C’s, bank guarantees etc. I have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and have completed an extensive International Sales and Marketing studies. My best knowledge is in mining and metallurgical industry but I have also been selling especially industrial filters to chemical industry, like pressure filters to enzyme manufacturing or explosion proof belt filters for palm oil washing and filtering. I have negotiated tens of contracts up to one million Euros and have been in sales team for contract over 30 million Euros. My best quality, not underestimating the already mentioned, is to see the “big picture” and to understand customer needs and reasons for his behavior and act accordingly.
