About Timone Weale

Aspiring engineer with a passion for the Aero/Astro Mechanical Sciences. The first time a plane flew over my head as a child I was overcome with wonder and amazement for the giant 747 droning in the sky above me. I asked my dad all the questions an awestruck 5-year-old would think of. What was this birdlike thing? Where did it come from? Most importantly, how did it fly? This sparked a fire in me to learn everything I could about aviation. I wanted to know the history, why things looked the way they did, how liquid rockets and turbine engines worked. Needless to say, I had so many questions and my parents for all they tried just couldn't answer them all. I didn't start finding those answers until my senior year of High School when I took a Project Lead The Way (PLTW) course on aerospace engineering. That was when it finally clicked and I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. My experiences in high school and college tempered this childlike affinity I had for the Aero/Astro sciences through struggle and failures. Although it was challenging at times, I persevered and graduated with a newfound appreciation for the technical prowess, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail engineers in these industries exhibit in every aspect of their work. Now, as I transition from a student to an engineer, my goals are to become one of these professional engineers, showcase my talents, and pay it forward for the next generation of inquisitive kids!
