ESS Laboratories is one of several divisions under the Thielsch umbrella of services. Thielsch has grown to over 600 staff with 14 offices in 8 different states. Founded and originally known for its Forensic Engineering and failure analysis of power plants, Thielsch has since added an MEP FP HVAC design and install group as well as a variety of testing services over the last 25 years. Including metallurgical, geotechnical, microbial, sediment, materials testing and of course ESS and it's full service analytical laboratory. Thielsch/ESS has grown to be a market leader in the northeast. We are a highly visible and active environmental laboratory covering chemical analysis and Petroleum Forensic services in New England, NY, NJ, PA. and across the country. ESS is a NYLAP certified firm and because it is a division of Thielsch, we can offer more testing services in house, on site than any other lab in the country. This is why we have grown as fast as we have and continue to add capabilities. We offer an array of in house services a client would typically need from 3-4 vendors, saving you time and money. Our in house Construction Testing services division also adds a variety of services that tie into our testing group. GPR, Compaction (Nuclear Density), dust and vibration monitoring, concrete and steel inspection etc. We also have the sampling expertise and capabilities that come with those services. Core sampling of concrete or metals testing, inspection for a bridges structural integrity or simply drawing a groundwater sample from a monitoring well, we have it covered.
