About Timothy Carter

The son of a former school principal and a minister, from an early age I witnessed the cycle of collecting and processing information and ideas into teachable lessons. My professional career has built upon that foundation, placing me at the front of the room for more than 20 years, translating complex problems into digestible insights in military intelligence, law enforcement, and non-governmental organization domains. Watching an audience and seeing a peer or superior's facial expression immediately change as they grasp a new idea, a solution, a path forward among all the noise, and knowing I am personally responsible for driving that insight is the pinnacle of my profession. It is what fuels me to push through those hard times when the problem is ill-defined, the data is dirty, the modeling is complex, and the delivery needs a better example.
