About Timothy Cochran

Tim Cochran, the daftest of daft boys and Marquess and Protector of the Virgin Empire (that’s a story we’ll save ‘til the end), got his start as a little boy on a Navajo reservation who eventually landed himself in fashion and retail back when faux mo-hawks and fedoras were hot.(Too Cute!) He’s helped launch, manage and promote dozens of brands, including Bare Escentuals, Model Co, Off the Grid and most recently his three new brands: Daftboy | Thwoorp and Lenticular Tee. As a brand manager, Tim snagged a coveted spot for the line in five fashion shows, not the least of which was the L.A. London and New York fashion weeks. He’s been behind the scenes as a traveling makeup artist designing looks for brand promotion in addition to directing regional operations for multiple big retailers. He’s responsible for launching Off The Grid’s Artist in Residence Program and has co-produced eye-popping costumes with influential designers such as Richie Rich for Fashion icons around the world. DaftBoy sprung from this deep knowledge of the retail and fashion industry and a desire to bring a little fun and controversy to his apparel both in the brand and the Fans. His creative juices began flowing as a youth in Minneapolis where he attended a Fame-like creative arts high school and then graduated from the University of Minneapolis with a major in musical theater. When he’s not picking out hot circuit fan slogans like or designing for the world’s lead drag performers, he’s throwing down in the kitchen (food, not people), watching A Never Ending Story on repeat, or volunteering. Which brings up the Marquess and Protector of the Virgin Empire title. Tim was recently adopted into the Drag house of Munro this past year for his tireless efforts to help the Imperial Court System and general love and support of the drag community. He calls San Francisco home, where he’s surrounded by his chosen family and some influential drag queens.
