About Timothy Corbett

my first job, in a land far away and that time forgot, was as a janitor for an auto body shop my cousin's husband owned. from that point on I travelled through different positions of merit. line cook at a seafood restaurant (note: I hate seafood), painter, welder and line associate at CAMI Auto Plant and sound crew for live shows. I have two degrees: BA Hons in English and Drama and a Master's in Library and Information Science. After University was completed and the degrees hung upon my wall I had short lived contract position in a library. Life moved on and changed my view of work for the betterment of my children. After moving to the United States I looked for work while taking care of my child full-time. Our second child came along and he needed me more than anything to stay home with him and his health issues. It was at this point I decided work and career can wait. And it did. And our third child came into being and I waited a bit longer. While home with children I did work part time as an Audio/video tech for a sound company at a Convention Center it had a contract with. I would spend my days with my children and then spend my nights with microphones. I have always loved audio/video. From my first job as a TV delivery person for a retail store or as a salesman for high end home equipment it was very loud and lovely. I also tried my hand as a roadie for a bit. Since 2013, when we moved to Connecticut and my children no longer needed me at home, I have worked as an IT help desk specialist and that is where I sit right now.
