About Timothy Edwards

I am a talented young man who strives to operate as a model of continuous improvement. I came from a urban community and attended Florida A&M University where I went on the graduate B.S. EET the foundation of my professional experience in the Manufacturing arena was established. I then moved to Michigan to pursue an opportunity at Chrysler as a Unit Leader. In manufacturing I quickly learned that Safety was a priority and the work day targets and objectives were customer driven. The best part of this experience was learning from people of different regions in the United States and gaining valuable experience in using tools for continuous improvement including kaizans, 5W1H, 4M1D, suggestions and 5 whys. I have completed my Executive MBA at the Jack Welch Management Institute. I have experience as an Engineer with many responsibilities including making sure our process is safe by generating LOTO procedures, generating and maintaining controlled documentation and upholding clean room stadards. I have experienced some success in manufacturing and if I could summarize my learnings to date I would say satisfy the Customer, produce a quality product with Safety in mind, Continuous improvement is a daily process, and to fix a problem effectively I must find a Root Cause and track my Countermeasures impact on future productivity. As a Facility Ops tech the practices are similar do a safe job that keeps the customer happy, creates a lasting impression and seek ways to enhance the facility through continuous improvement. I believe goals are simply dreams with tangible steps towards making them reality.
