I have 20 years of experience in the Healthcare Technology Management field, 17 of which are in a hospital setting including 5 years as a biomedical engineering department manager. As a manager I had 14 direct reports and managed an inventory of over devices. I have in-depth knowledge of regulatory agency requirements concerning medical equipment in a hospital setting and have written and revised hospital and department policies and procedures. I have authored a medical equipment management plan and am a member of the EOC committee along with various other hospital committees. I have an AAMI CBET, AAMI CHTM, CompTIA A+(GFL) and AXELOS ITIL certifications. I was ARMY trained as a Medical Equipment Repairer (91A) at the USAMEOS School in Fitzsimons Colorado and served Two years in Germany, Two years in Ft. Polk Louisiana at the Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital and nine months deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). Military decorations include Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and Overseas Service Ribbon. I earned the rank of Eagle Scout and have served as Cub Master for a Cub Scout pack for four years. I have extensive experience with managing and maintaining general biomedical equipment including networked patient monitoring systems along with training in dialysis machines and ventilators.
