Airline and VIP charter pilot with over 20 years of aviation industry experience and more than 9880 total flying hours, including maintenance, maintenance control, company aviation manager, compliance officer, training captain and chief pilot. I have a proven track record of customer service, safety and compliance management, crew management at both aircraft and company level. I have also demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, having developed scheduling, maintenance planning and flight planning systems in the Excel environment, along with Microsoft Word for preparation of company operating and training manuals. Having spent my working life as an aviation professional I am passionate about aviation safety and I enjoy mentoring new pilots to the benefit of both pilot and the company. During my time as aviation manager at Foxes African Safaris we expanded from a single six seat aircraft to a fleet of five aircraft, two of them thirteen passenger Cessna Caravans, and in the process established partnerships with other safari operators resulting in the establishment of a base of charter and scheduled flights which made us the leading flight operator in the southern safari circuit of Tanzania. When I moved to Tanganyika Flying Company after my four year work permit with Foxes had expired we were operating two aircraft with two full time pilots, during my time as chief pilot there the company expanded to a peak of six aircraft and eight full time pilots, our reputation for customer service had resulted in gaining the business of several of the biggest and most exclusive safari operators in the Serengeti, and we were running twice weekly charters for Nomad Safaris to the remote south west of Tanzania for their highly exclusive network of camps. Now returned to the UK I have upgraded my qualifications to unfreeze my Airline Transport Pilots License and am operating as an ATR 72 captain with Blue Islands on a very busy network of UK scheduled routes with longer European charters in a high sector rate operation with tight time constraints due to the rapid flight cadence in the operation
