About Timothy Ignatz

Private Music Instructor with a Bachelor of Music (B.) in Instrumental Music from Duquesne University and demonstrated history of working with music and sound in education. Skilled in Singing, Choral, Piano, Music Education and Teaching/Music Theory at both the elementary/intermediate level. I also was the Director of Music at several churches: St. Stephen on Hazelwood, PA, St. Philip Crafton, PA and St. Januarius Plum, PA. I was responsible for selecting music for weekly Masses, playing for School liturgies, conducted choir liturgies and rehearsals and sang/played for numerous weddings and funerals. Currently, I am a music minister/organist for Holy Family Parish which is a combined cluster of churches (St. Januarius, St. John the Baptist, Our Lady of Joy, St. Joseph and St. Ireneaus.) I enjoy spending time with my dog LuLu and other pets in my home and find time for my family and friends. I still teach private music lessons to those who wish to begin an instrument or further education on their particular instrument. Currently, I an battling Stage 4 colon cancer but that hasn't stopped me from getting out and enjoying my life long career as a musician. I live life everyday to the fullest extent and to what my body allows me to do. Fun-loving, extremely friendly and loyal person.
