About Timothy Lacy

Timothy Lacy received his Medical Degree from Texas A&M University College of Medicine and has over 30 years of experience in Neuropsychiatry, Medical Technology, and Medical Education. He developed and directed the National Capital Consortium Military Combined Residency Program in Family Practice and Psychiatry and created novel neuroscience and neuropsychiatry educational programs for the U.S. Military. He has served as Director of the Neurobehavioral Program at Walter Reed Military Medical Center; Chief of Telehealth, Enterprise Imaging. & Cybermedicine for the U.S. Air Force office of the Surgeon General; a consultant to the Army Telemedicine and Technology Research Center (TATRC); and a member of the NATO Medical Communication/Inform Systems & Telemedicine Expert Panel. He deployed the largest Virtual Reality based PTSD treatment system in U.S. Department of Defense history (Virtual Iraq and Virtual Afghanistan), and created worldwide systems in telecardiology and teleradiology. Dr. Lacy has won numerous local and national awards for his teaching and writing. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed academic journals and over 90 national and international academic presentations and developed international workshops on the integration of neuroscience, primary care, and psychotherapy. He is currently Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and at George Washington University School of Medicine.
