Award-winning editor and news executive specialising in investigative journalism on transnational subjects, with a strong fundraising and team-building track record. I run the Investigative Journalism for Europe (IJ4EU) programme, Europe's biggest fund for cross-border watchdog journalism. I'm a former Reuters correspondent, editor of the Reuters AlertNet global humanitarian news service, editor-in-chief of Thomson Reuters Foundation news services, director of Reuters global media development programmes and founding editor of Reporting Democracy. I also ran the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network's Fellowship for Journalistic Excellence.
