About Timothy Lienhard

I have a passion for work in higher education and arts administration. At Rice University I led a team that redesigned the Enrollment Division website, including undergraduate admissions and financial aid, worked with a university-wide team for the marketing launch of The Rice Investment, served as a selection committee co-chair, and designed a search campaign and recruitment materials that spoke to the student experience. At From the Top, I developed the Admissions & Alumni Relations department, assembling a forward thinking team to recruit the highest level musical talent and engage program alumni across the country. I like tackling challenges and approach problem solving with an open mind. I have implemented new online application platforms, developed marketing and communications strategies, and created programs including New England Conservatory’s Jazz Lab, a summer program built to increase visibility for the conservatory’s jazz program. As a trombonist, I have performed and recorded extensively, including appearances with Ruben Blades, Connie Francis, Danilo Perez, Dave Holland, George Garzone, and Dave Liebman.
