I am a Canberra-based solicitor practicing exclusively in tax-effective and defensive estate planning, estate litigation, probate, and estate administration. I am particularly experienced with ACT and NSW law but I am also familiar with the law of Queensland, Victoria, and South Australia. My work extend from drafting Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney to commencing and defending family provision claims and other forms of estate litigation, including Probate litigation (such as capacity, undue influence, and knowledge & approval cases). I believe that clients are best served by a multidisciplinary approach to their estate planning and estate administration. To this end, I will regularly liaise with accountants and financial advisers to ensure that clients and their intended beneficiaries are not met with any unexpected tax burdens or awkward surprises in the form of foreseeable (but avoidable) estate litigation. I am passionate about turning around high-quality work for clients quickly and cost-effectively. When I am not doing work for clients I try to share the knowledge and experience I have been fortunate enough to gain in my years of legal practice by contributing to the ACT Law Society as a Member of Elder Law & Succession Committee, writing articles for Ethos, and playing a leading role in organising our local Wills & Estates Conferences. I am fortunate to really enjoy what I am doing. I particularly enjoy spending time with clients to help them problem-solve and fix the issues they are facing.
