About Timothy Maki

After 14 years of leading in the military—ranging from a Platoon Leader in Afghanistan, synchronizing all military operations across S Korea, Company Commander in Germany, and a Combat Advisor Team Leader across Europe—I hit burnout. Now, I’m focused on giving back to the folks who shaped me. I’ve been the trusted leader, the “only guy available,” the shadow governor, and the one figuring things out on the ground. Using those experiences, I’m building a community for action-driven individuals who are committed to supporting the ground-pounder in any capacity. Turns out putting down roots in one place can be very rewarding despite the challenges! Nothing like a mid-life career change as I left being a ground-pounder to being a space guy. One mistake and success at a time as I try to figure out how to enable "and good happened there". Things I’m Good At: Outdoor challenges, cooking, embracing suffering, and listening. Things I’m Bad At: Karaoke (still belt out lyrics off key tho), golfing, baking, and keeping my body together (KT tape for the win). If you made it this far, let’s connect!
