About Timothy Marsden

I have now spent close to three years working on the CBD and South East Light Rail as a Project Engineer with the Transport for NSW Delivery Office. In this time i have also had the opportunity to act as Projects Coordinator for Urban Infrastructure Partnership as well assisting in the development of the Contrado business. My time with TfNSW working on Sydney Light Rail project has allowed me to realise a passion for large infrastructure projects. Even with the intense scrutiny that this project has received, it is undeniable that it has completely redefined the Sydney CBD. Not only has TfNSW delivered a much-needed transport asset linking the CBD to the entertainment, health and university precincts, but has also opened up untold opportunities for place making with 1km of newly pedestrianised space. Urban Infrastructure Partnership(UIP) is a company that provides site surveillance officers (SSO) and mobile tools for the capture and presentation of site surveillance data. My time working with UIP has allowed me to apply my experience and understanding of the construction industry to develop a new app to allow for the easily palatable portrayal of site surveillance data. In the past 12 months i have also taken on the management of the SSOs including coordinating works, producing rosters and invoicing, which has exposed me to other projects including RMS M4 works & Parramatta Light Rail. My ability to prioritise my work has allowed me to act simultaneously as a Project Engineer assisting in the development of Contrado.
