About Timothy Matthew Gibson

I am a recent college graduate specializing in Nanotechnology Engineering with over three years of experience providing quality solutions that support organizational growth and goals, as well as expertise in project management, product design and development, and cross-functional collaboration. I am extremely passionate about improving the lives of others through my work and consider myself to be a life-long learner. I earned my Bachelor of Applied Science in Nanotechnology Engineering from the University of Waterloo in May of 2021. During my time as a student, I mastered in-depth engineering concepts and completed various coursework, including Biomaterials & Biomedical Design, Microfluidic & Nanobiotechnological Systems, and Electronic Circuits, which I have been able to apply in my internship experience. One of my biggest strengths is the far-reaching breadth of my internship experience. I have had the opportunity to work in a wide array of organizational environments and have consistently supported the project design and development process. In particular, I have performed experiments, compiled and analyzed data, created technical reports, and improved project management methodologies. Throughout my academic and professional experience, I have established a reputation as a dedicated team leader with a talent for collaboration. I also have a successful track record of working with a variety of departments, teams, and organizations. At the University of Waterloo, I worked with a team of four engineering students to successfully complete our 4th Year Design project focused on Nanosystems. Earlier on in my career, I served as the Lead for a board design project at Electrical Contact and managed the completion of more than 30 new board designs utilizing Mastercam and CNC milling. I would like to transition into a role that gives me the opportunity to utilize both my technical and leadership skills where I can continue to have a positive impact on organizational growth and the daily lives of the team members I collaborate with.
