I draw inspiration from Fujio Cho, Honorary Chairman of Toyota Motor Corporation who said: “Brilliant process management is our strategy. We observe that our competitors often get average (or worse) results from brilliant people managing broken processes.” Focus areas: Lead product and service quality improvement, process control, quality system deployment and engineering staff development activities for multiple Allsteel and HON manufacturing locations, HNI product engineering and the HNI dealer network. Developed and led strategic QMS initiatives across multiple plants. Shifted overall quality approach from one based on trailing indicators (finished goods inspection, customer complaint rate and warranty) to an approach based on "close to home" leading indicators (standard work, LPA, FTY, process capability) and industry standard Quality Management Systems.
