About Timothy Newman

Based in the Lake Forest, IL office of Morgan Stanley and with nearly 40 years of industry experience, I am the senior member of the Newman Douglass team at Morgan Stanley, founded to help coordinate the financial affairs of a select group of families, corporate executives, retirees, business owners and non-profit organizations throughout the country. I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. We believe in providing education for clients to help them make the best decisions about their financial affairs. We aim to simplify and clarify clients' financial lives. We bring value to clients by employing a team approach. We meet with clients up to four times each year, and conduct an annual Financial Physical to update them on progress toward goals. I am active in my community, having in the past served as a member of the Lake Forest city council and plan commission as well as president of the Lake Forest Club and The Lake Forest Rotary Club. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling with my wife, Diane and son Alex and pursue golf with a passion that exceeds my talent. I have been known bake dessert for family and friends.
