About Timothy Panfil

Tim Panfil has 29 years of experience in higher education. Prior to his current position at Elmhurst, he served as the director/managing director of adult and graduate student enrollment and interim executive director for the School for Advanced Learning (a central point of contact for all prospective, non-traditional learners for the college's adult, graduate, and the Elmhurst Life Skills Academy) at Elmhurst. Tim's been an adjunct instructor of business/management at Elmhurst College, Lewis University, and Benedictine University. He has conducted workshops on marketing, admissions, sales and enrollment management for Academic Impressions, Stamats, ICCHE, and REACh. Prior to joining Elmhurst, he worked at DeVry University, Keller Graduate School of Management, National-Louis University, IPD/Apollo Group among others. He earned a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management. Professional Organizations: Panfil is currently serving a two-year term on the Board of Directors for REACh (Resources for the Education of Adults in the Chicago Area) where he has previously been the VP twice, chaired the board and various committees, and served as a board member many times since 1995. He's also served two, two-year terms on the Executive Board for ICCHE (Illinois Council on Continuing Higher Education) as the private institution representative and currently chairs the organization's annual Innovative Initiative Awards. Volunteer Work: Panfil has been an active member of Oakton Community College's Alumni Association since 2013 and received the college's Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2014. He and daughter Sophia have been active members of Big Waters Federation's Indian Princess Programs since 2009. Tim also will be writing the "Meet A Member"​ column for the Northern Illinois Fiero Enthusiast's (NIFE) bi-monthly newsletter called Fiero Focus.
