About Timothy Platt

I have extensive experience in C++ in WIndows, Linux and the MAC environment. I also have extensive experience in C#.NET programming. I have worked with both embedded software systems and distributed software systems. I have developed applications using Web services, HTTP, SOAP, REST, Socket level and shared memory communcations. I have a strong belief in loosely coupled modular programming for easier maintenance and code-reuse. I am comfortable with multi-processing and multi-threading issues and challanges. I have very extensive experience working with remote engineering groups both in defining and negotiating interfaces as well as diagnosing problems encountered in realizing cooperative projects using such interfaces. I have strong debugging skills in C++ and C#. I have a unique ability to read into, understand and quickly begin to work with and be effective in an unfamiliar code base. I am strong at reading, evaluating and reviewing/editing technical docucmentation and software patents.
