About Timothy Re

Dr. Timothy Re has been a professional educator for more than twenty-three years, serving the past year as Assistant Principal at Elizabethtown Middle School and the previous two years as Principal of Elizabethtown Area High School. Dr. Re also served as Assistant Principal at Central York High School (York, PA) for four years. Before his administrative career, Dr. Re taught science Pennsylvania, North Carolina and New York. While serving as Principal at Elizabethtown Area High School, Dr. Re is credited with developing a new S.T.E.M. program for grades 9-12, and involving his staff in the opportunity to have been selected for Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13’s P.U.L.S.E. grant (a fully- funded S.T.E.M. initiative). Through Dr. Re’s leadership at both the High School and Middle School, he has lead several initiatives to expand educational opportunities for all students, especially in the fields of S.T.E.M. and Agriculture. He was also instrumental in leading Professional Development for staff in the areas of Data Analysis, Student Learning Outcomes, and the Pennsylvania Teacher Effectiveness Evaluation instrument. Dr. Re is a leader of the middle school’s newly implemented Instruction Support Team to meet academic and behavioral needs of students identified as “At-Risk”. During his tenure as Assistant Principal at Central York High School, Dr. Re initiated the implementation of several best practices, including being the first high school in Pennsylvania to successfully adopt the RtII model. Dr. Re played a critical role in the expansion of the high school’s S.T.E.M. academy with the implementation of career academies and the development pf a partnership with Project Lead the Way (PLTW), a nationally recognized program of S.T.E.M. excellence. In addition to the several duties prescribed to Dr. Re in his role as an Assistant Principal, he served on the district’s Data Team and assisted in the creation of district wide data assessments.
