About Timothy Rence

I am a Masters of Accountancy student at Miami University Farmer School of Business. On campus I am Business Honors Student, Evans Scholar, and Bridges Scholar. Through these programs and my rigorous course work I have developed my proficiency in Microsoft Office, JMP, and SQL. In addition to these skills I have been able to develop my problem solving and leadership skills through various campus organizations. I am involved in Miami Asset Management, Miami Finance Association, and I am an Undergraduate Assistant for BUS 106. My involvement on campus has vastly increased my knowledge of the financial world as well as greatly improving my leadership, teamwork, and problem solving skills. Over the past eight years I have caddied at Lakewood Country Club. As a caddy I have assisted members and guests of Lakewood Country Club in enjoying their time out on the golf course. I have caddied over 300 rounds and tournaments and have achieved the highest rank of honor caddie at my club. Through my hard work on the golf course as well as my dedication in the classroom and to extracurriculars I was honored to be awarded with the Evans Scholarship, the largest privately funded scholarship in the nation. As part of the Evans Scholars I am on the New Scholar Committee, a committee that oversees and runs events with the first year scholars and makes their transition to college easier. I like all things sports as well as spending time out in nature on walks or hikes. I am excited for the opportunity to grow my professional and personal skills through an internship next summer and look forward to speaking with you in the near future.
