Timothy has over 15 years experience as a structural engineer involved in designing buildings & civil structures using steel, concrete, and composite materials over a range of market segments including;* Light & Heavy industrial structures.* Port side structures.* Commercial developments.* Education buildings (universities & schools).* Steel lattice transmission towers.* Precast plank bridges & road traffic structures * Associated retaining walls for developments.* Design assessment & reporting on existing structures.* Internal quality systems & verification of designs.* Residential & High End Residential.Most projects have been from the initial concepts through detailed design in consultation with the project architects (both in house and external consultants), as well as liaising with maintenance / operational personnel, clients and client side management to meet project outcomes, performance requirements, and to achieve and maintain the architectural intent.Tim also has experience managing the structural packages of multi-discipline projects and coordinating the documentation and engineering review of structural drawings, documents for clarity, construct-ability & co-ordination with other services (architectural, civil, mechanical etc).Other general areas of experience include;* Scoping and costing work for proposals and bidding.* Concrete and steel site inspections during construction.* Responding to and tracking client and site contractor RFI's.* Review of steel fabrication drawings.* Tracking / Costing of variations and claims.* Mentoring Junior / Graduate Engineers.
